The following sites have been used by interns in the past ten years in the Department of Rehabilitation Counseling. Before choosing a site, please review information about the site with the Internship Coordinator, information at this site, the link to the site's web page (if available), and other pertinent information. It is important that the prospective intern consider a site that may be a close link to what will be chosen as a future career goal, that the supervisor of the site will be an appropriate mentor during the internship. While there are some sites that provide some compensation, this may not always be available. Be cautious when accepting compensation for internship as the company or agency may feel they can always tell you what to do. As an intern, you are still a student of the University of Florida. We require that you come to campus at certain times during your internship. You should always be free to do this.
NOTE: Those sites marked by two asterisks have fully
executed affiliation agreements. These are the only sites that can be selected
initially. The other sites are in the stages of being
approved. So, PLEASE confine yourself to those marked with the asterisks.
