About the National PCIT Conference
Theory of PCIT
The National Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) Conference is designed for professionals involved in clinical research, treatment, and training related to PCIT. The purpose of the conference is to advance knowledge and practice standards of PCIT through research in the fields of clinical child psychology, psychiatry, social work, and related disciplines.

The Sixth Annual PCIT Conference

 

The PCIT Conference was held for the first time at the University of Florida in Gainesville, after five successful meetings in Sacramento. The PCIT Conference theme for 2006 was“The Interplay of Science and Practice.”

 

Highlights of the program included “Watch the Experts,” a session from the first PCIT Conference, in which experienced PCITers demonstrated “live” coaching with a new family (via delayed playback video).

The program also included a Keynote Address by Mark Chaffin, Ph.D. and an International Spotlight presentation by Anthony Urquiza, Ph.D. See below for a link to these presentations:
